Robert A. Carnegie
Bob
Carnegie has been an active practitioner in the field of Human Resources
since 1970. His experience includes all areas of personnel management,
with in-depth knowledge of training and development, recruiting,
employee and labor relations, productivity improvement, career development,
and outplacement.
His corporate background includes human resources and operations
management in the manufacturing, distribution, and insurance industries,
where he was instrumental in creating and implementing innovative
programs to improve corporate performance and productivity.
Additionally, Bob has been a contract instructor at the graduate
level since 1981, teaching courses in management, negotiation skills,
employee relations, human resources, and communications. Since 1985,
he has been a faculty member of the Federal Government Graduate
School, Washington. D.C..
His consulting and training assignments have included e-commerce,
manufacturing, distribution, telecommunications, utility, insurance,
and high technology corporations, as well as a number of federal,
state, and city government agencies. The focus of his consulting
and training projects has been the design and implementation of
programs to improve employee effectiveness and productivity. His
workshops have taken him all across the US and to Latin America
and Europe. Since 1996, Bob has delivered several programs for the
United Nations in New York and Geneva, Switzerland.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Masters
of Business Administration degree, and he is a member of the American
Management Association, the American Society for Training and Development,
the Society for Human Resources Management, the New England Human
Resources Association, and the Association of Government Accountants.
Bob is a member of the Board of Incorporators of Youth Opportunities
Upheld, Inc., a social service firm assisting troubled adolescents
and their families in Worcester County.
