Our client is a growing company and a recognized leader in the management and beneficial use of bio-solids. We seek an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with industrial experience and solid technical judgment.
Mechanics are responsible for all preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all mechanical systems in a 24x7 production environment. You will also be involved in upgrades and new construction.
You will
- Locate, troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions throughout the plant, and document and report problems and results.
- Weld, pipe fit, rig, rebuild equipment, use machinist tools, set and align pumps, couplings and motors, and perform other maintenance duties as required.
- Coordinate maintenance efforts, requisitions, scheduling, material control, safety and permitting with the Operations Manager.
- Conduct predictive analysis of all mechanical systems and equipment periodically in order to update PM system and generate work orders.
- Ensure completion of work orders based on priority and schedule as required.
- Maintain standard safety procedures. Support all company and corporate policies and procedures. Perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the facility.
The ideal candidate has
- 5+ years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a heavy industrial/process environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, sound technical judgment and the ability to plan and execute work with limited supervision. Electrical skills a plus.
- Knowledge of shop math, print reading, and the ability to understand and work with technical documents.
- A safety conscious individual able to work safely in difficult environments (catwalks, confined spaces etc).
- Strong communication and team skills.
