We seek a well-rounded Microsoft technical expert interested in advising small/medium manufacturing and distribution clients. You must be strategic and tactical with broad experience in infrastructure issues and manufacturing applications. The position requires technical as well as project management skills and a track record of establishing and maintaining positive client relationships.

In this position you often act as IT/IS Manager to our clients. You will advise and guide them on a wide range of issues involving options, advantages, business uses, and implementation of technology. Internally you will act as a primary resource for project analysis and specification, a subject matter expert and mentor to other members of the Technical Services Team, and as a key resource in the investigation of strategic new technologies.

We are a growing IT consulting company and have been a trusted IT advisor to our clients since 1986. Our expertise allows them to leverage technology, remain agile, and focus their efforts on core business activities. Our network solutions include technology assessments, managed services, network security, virus protection, network and e-mail design, web and e-mail hosting, VPNs, remote access, and mobile and wireless communications. Our business solutions include customization and implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM) and financial software.

This position requires a thorough, organized, well-prepared professional with exceptional technical, project management, client relations and business skills. Your background should include:

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft operating systems and productivity applications, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, routing and switching technologies, firewall technologies, data back up systems, virus protection/security systems, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc,
Experience with manufacturing & business applications including ERP, SCM and financial software.
Experience in technical project management and the ability to take a project through all phases of implementation as well as post-implementation follow-up. The ability to lean and mentor technical team members.
The ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with creativity, speed and efficiency.
Exceptional interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to adapt to and quickly learn new technologies and products.
BA/BA
MCSE, CCNA, and/or security certifications (such as CISSP) are preferred
The ability to work both in our Westborough office and at client sites in MA, CT and RI (overnight travel is rare).
