We are a growing IT consulting company and have been a trusted IT advisor to our clients since 1986. Our expertise allows them to leverage technology, remain agile, and focus their efforts on core business activities. Our network solutions include technology assessments, managed services, network security, virus protection, network and e-mail design, web and e-mail hosting, VPNs, remote access, and mobile and wireless communications.
We seek a Microsoft Network Engineer with equally strong technical and interpersonal skills to advise and support small/medium sized businesses. You will work at our offices in Westborough as well as a client sites in MA, RI & CT. Overnight travel is RARE.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical support to sales and assist with the design of WAN/LAN based solutions.
- Deliver high-quality integration services to clients, including configuration of servers, workstations and internetworking equipment.
- Collect and analyze data to identify issues quickly and develop cost effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems while providing remote and on site support to clients.
- Mentor, train and guide clients to maximize the value they receive from us. Involve the client in cost/risk decisions. Involve clients in acceptance testing to ensure systems are fully functional and meet their business needs.
- Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with clients and staff.
- Recognize and act on sales opportunities and issues that effect our relationship with clients
- Document work to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and to the institutionalize knowledge.
This is a great opportunity for a Network professional to broaden his/her skills by working with multiple clients while being in a regular employment situation. Your background must include:
- Formal training and/or 1-2 years experience with Microsoft operating systems and productivity applications, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, routing and switching technologies, firewall technologies, data back up systems, virus protection/security systems, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc,
- The ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with creativity, speed and efficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to adapt to and quickly learn new technologies and products.
- BS/BA preferred.
- MCSE, CCNA, or other Microsoft or Cisco certifications or other evidence of your investment in your professional development is a plus.
