Our 24x7 sewage incinerator, located in Waterbury, CT, is looking for a smart, hard working Plant Operator. Operators work rotating shifts with limited supervision. They are responsible for operating, monitoring, documenting and maintaining incineration equipment in a safe and effective manner. The work includes hands on operations, control room operations and maintenance – and you will get dirty.

This position requires

• A can do attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right.
• A dependable, safety conscious individual with a strong work ethic and excellent technical/mechanical abilities.
• The ability to monitor and operate equipment manually and through computer screens. Good recordkeeping and strong communication skills.
• The ability to recognize operational inconsistencies and hazards, apply sound judgment, and work in a safe and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
• Strong mechanical, math and problem solving skills.
• The ability to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair on mechanical equipment as well as housekeeping as needed.
• Periodically mandatory shift coverage and/or overtime in addition to your scheduled shift
