We are a growing IT consulting company and a trusted IT advisor to our clients. Our expertise allows businesses to leverage technology, remain agile, and focus on their core competencies.
We seek an IT/Network Pro with exceptional interpersonal, communication and project management skills. Our Systems Engineer is a technical expert with strong interpersonal and project management skills and a track record of establishing and maintaining positive client relationships. You will counsel clients on a wide range of issues involving the business use of technology and will be their primary resource to ensure alignment between technology and business needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Define high-quality integration services for clients including WAN/LAN design, communications, virtualization hardware, and software products.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients while you function as their on-site IT manager.
- Ensure technical excellence in service delivery. Involve clients in acceptance testing to ensure systems are fully functional and meet their business needs.
- Educate and train clients on technology.
- Collect information from clients and vendors, identify and analyze issues quickly and develop alternative solutions to technical issues.
- Provide remote and on-site support to customers including problems escalated from engineers. Troubleshoot complex technical problems and document solutions in order to institutionalize knowledge.
This position requires
- A person with solid interpersonal and strategic business skills who is comfortable advising C-level executives and building positive working relationships.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and productivity applications, virtualization, data security, data back & recovery, malware detection systems, routing, switching technology, firewalls (CISCO or Sonicwall preferred), TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and communication technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
- The ability to represent the company to clients
- The ability to manage projects and provide guidance to other team members.
- Related 4-year technical or business degree
- Evidence of continued education, such as MCSE, CCNA, CISSP is a plus
- Valid driver’s license. Ability to work in Westborough and at client sites in New England. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
