Our client is a leading manufacturer of accessory equipment for the paper and web converting industry. They are hiring an electro-mechanical assembler/technician to be based in the Worcester area facility. This position offers strong potential for growth within the company.
Responsibilities include:
. Communicate with customers, giving them cost estimates.
. Repair and assemble all new and refurbished electro-mechanical units to client specifications.
. Perform quality inspections within the cell and resolve issues.
. Perform testing on all units prior to shipping.
. Complete standard documentation forms, requisitions, timesheets, assembly logs, etc.
. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Requirements include:
. The ability to travel four days/week for 6-9 months.
. AA or BA/BS in a technical field.
. Strong mechanical aptitude.
. Basic electrical skills and trouble shooting skills.
. Knowledge of basic electrical functions.
. Ability to read and work off of mechanical and electrical prints, schematics and engineering drawings.
. Hands-on work experience/training in the automotive or electrical trades.
. Strong computer skills. Excel required; Oracle a plus.
. Good interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
. Ability to perform field service with minimal travel (after training period).
